Supplied Air Equipment

K&D Turnaround Services is equipped with everything required for vessel entry under supplied air, including bottle carts, regulators, manifolds, hoses, masks, and trained air technicians.

Rescue Services

Nearly all of our team is cross-trained for High-Angle and Confined Space Rescue. This allows customers to save on planning and costs, as well as providing added security, knowing that the rescue team will be sufficiently trained and equipped to affect rescues in the unique space that exists inside a distillation column.

We have an inventory of specialty rescue equipment and conduct regular training to ensure we are always prepared for turnarounds.

K&D has a modern fleet of BW personal 4-head gas monitors, as well as continuous-draw atmospheric testers for the ongoing sampling of confined space atmospheres. We also possess testers for specialty applications like mercury vapour and benzene.

Our specialization as a tower internals contractor means confined space work is a standard part of our job, and we’re experts at doing it safely! K&D has a comprehensive safety protocol for confined space entry (CSE) that goes beyond legislated requirements. Our Supervisors and Tower Specialists are proficient in safe work procedures and hazard controls for confined spaces, ensuring safe and efficient entries.

K&D’s confined space monitors are always highly trained and ensure nobody enters a confined space unless it’s safe. We emphasize communication and ensure all pre-entry requirements are met before any work begins, ensuring protection of everyone at the worksite.
